Medical Professionals Attend Tending the Flame™ Workshop

RISHI at Pure Healthcare held its Tending the Flame™ Training Workshop for clinicians and graduate program learners April 24-26 at Home2 Suites in Dayton, Ohio. Attendees were from hospitals, institutions and residency programs throughout the nation.

Participants represented institutions such as University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Ohio; El Camino Hospital, California ; Harvard Combined Residency Program; Boston, MA; Kettering Health Network, Dayton, Ohio; Ohio’s Hospice, Dayton, Ohio; Peak Animal Cancer Center, Bozeman, Montana; The Permanente Medical Group, California, Tulane University; Austin, Texas; Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio.

This was the first time RISHI held a training workshop at Home2 Suites. The RISHI teaching staff had the privilege of training physicians, a veterinarian and nurse.

One participant stated “the retreat was beyond what I expected. Thank you for your kindness and dedication to healthcare professional mental health”.  Dr. Evangeline Andarsio, director of RISHI at Pure Healthcare, incorporated videos of Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen, the founder of RISHI, throughout the workshop to, “share her wisdom and stories surrounding meaning, medicine, resiliency, and calling.”
